The National Association of Teachers of Singing, Inc. (NATS) was founded in 1944 and is now the largest association of teachers of singing in the world, with an international presence.

NATS Central Region is one of fourteen regions in the country and serves members in the states of Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri. An annual Central Region Conference and Student Auditions are held in October/November. The conference offers members and their students an opportunity to connect with colleagues across the region while attending presentations, master class, the teacher’s topical breakfast meeting, and through adjudication.

Within the region, there are three districts and numerous local-focus chapters.
